What's better than hunting bull elk? Taking someone to hunt bull elk for the first time!

Utah's General Season Any Bull Elk Hunt is not an easy one. Most of the "any bull" units in Utah have very  low elk numbers but very high elk hunting pressure. It's the only OTC (over-the-counter) elk tag you can really get in Utah. But, these units just aren't managed for a quality elk hunt. It's tough, but that's also why it's one of my favorite hunts of the year. It's a fairly long season compared to most in the state so I always feel confident we can get into some elk if we just keep hunting hard until the end. This hunt was the ideal General Season Hunt if you ask me. Lots of time spent and very few elk to show for it.
