This year we got started a little later than we would have hoped for due to scheduling conflicts so our opening day was actually several days into the season. 

Usually we have a few days to scout prior to the season opening but that was not the case this year. So, day 1 of hunting was really about covering country, glassing like crazy and trying to determine what kind of deer were in the area.
