About Brush for Bucks
An idea that originated from a long term partnership with First Lite dating back to 2013 with the intent of leveraging our Hush community to make a positive impact on conservation & habitat improvements. Simply put….let’s get more boots on the ground for conservation and habitat restoration while having a great time doing it.
In 2021, Hush & First Lite applied for a grant through the state of Idaho which awarded us funding that paid for 10,000 sagebrush seedlings to be grown and stored specifically for this event.
On Saturday April 2nd 2022 we will plant 10,000 seedlings in the ground on a critical winter range location that has been pre-determined by the Idaho BLM.
Hush will sell 50 exclusive tickets to participate in this event at a cost of $100/each. The participants will receive sagebrush seedlings to plant in the field, an exclusive Brush for Bucks logoed tee shirt, an OnX Premium membership, lunch provided by Camp Chef and one (1) raffle ticket.
We will also be planting sagebrush with anyone who attends the event along with some folks from FIrst Lite and Idaho BLM.
At the conclusion of planting these seedlings on the winter range, we will serve lunch and then hold the raffle from the gear donated by our partners which has a value of over $13k in prizes. Participants can purchase additional raffle tickets for a cost of $5/each or 5 for $20 so bring your cash!
100% of the money raised will be used to cover operating expenses of the event and will help us to continue funding Brush for Bucks for years to come. With the support from all of you we will work to expand this event beyond the state of Idaho in years to come.
Make sure you wear some good hiking boots and plan accordingly for weather with jackets, rain gear and hopefully even some sunscreen.
We look forward to seeing you there,
Brian, Casey & Eric
